Hey, I'm Sam
I’ve spent years helping endurance athletes like you fuel smarter not just to feel better, but to perform better. As a age-group triathlete myself, I know exactly what it feels like to juggle training, work, and real-life nutrition challenges.
Like many athletes, I used to think that training harder was the key to getting faster. But it wasn’t until I got serious about fuelling properly that my performance truly shifted. I’ve seen firsthand how the right nutrition strategy can transform your performance, speed up recovery, and give you the confidence to push harder and go further.
Whether you’re chasing a new personal best, aiming for a podium finish, or simply want to show up to race day feeling fully prepared, I help triathletes take the guesswork out of fuelling so they can focus on training, racing, and enjoying the journey.
Qualifications
I bring a combination of formal education, clinical experience, and practical performance expertise to help athletes fuel smarter:
NZ & UK Registered Dietitian – Qualified to provide expert, evidence-based nutrition guidance.
PG Dip Nutrition and Dietetics – Specialist areas include Gastroenterology, IBS, and the Low FODMAP diet.
MSc (Hons) Sports Nutrition – Advanced training in performance nutrition and athlete-focused strategies.
BSc Sport and Exercise Science – Solid foundation in exercise physiology and athletic performance.
Over the years, I’ve supported athletes across multiple sports from triathletes and ultra-runners to CrossFit competitors and netball players helping them optimise nutrition for training, recovery, and race day.

I’m originally from the UK, but in 2024 I made the move to New Zealand and I’m absolutely loving life here!
When I’m not training or coaching, you’ll usually find me out tramping in the hills or relaxing at the beach with my Kindle. And of course, I love nothing more than good coffee and great food… obviously.
I’ve been in and out of triathlon for the last couple of years, ever since being inspired by watching the competitors at Ironman Bolton. Before that, I was deep into CrossFit, so I know what it’s like to push hard in training (and how important recovery and fuelling are to keep progressing).
